The Reboot Trick : The Reboot Trick Should work on all software versions
    • Go to calendar ( menu - 8 ).
    • Make a note or reminder.
    • Enter some text into the edit box.
    • Hold clear until whole text is cleared, then press back.
    • Press 0. Main screen is shown but a space appears on the screen. (You can't see it of course).
    • Enter 4 digits (1234 for example).
    • Use the down arrow to move the cursor to the left side of the numbers and the space (down arrow twice).
    • Now enter 6 digits and press the green "Call button".
Wait some seconds..the phone will now flash the background light and finally reboot. The trick should also work on other menus like the profile menu.

Want to be able to send tones or logos to your friends w/o using your PC ?

It's very simple. All you need is to use the save to SIM feature of Nokring. Then it stores the tones in your outbox. Once saved on SIM, all you need to do is forward the text messages to your friends. These messages are distinct since they will all have a "message Cannot be displayed Here" It's that Simple!!!

What if you don't have a PC?

Still possible... All you need to do is transfer your SIM to any old phone w/c cannot distinguish ring tones. Then ask someone to send you a ring tone. What the phone does is it stores the ring tone in your Inbox since it cannot decode the tone. Once it is stored in your SIM, simply switch back to your Nokia Hp and forward that message to the intended recepient.
      Hidden Menus

    • You have 7 Profiles not just 5. The 2 w/c are usually hidden (Car and Headset) are only activated once you plug in the corresponding gadgets. But there's a way to make them appear without buying these products.
    • Theres an Additional Menu called Network Monitor. It is usually used by Service Technicians to diagnose problems with the phone. The good thing about this menu is that it makes it possible to turn off the LCD Light. By turning it off, we save battery life. You need to download PC Locals to activate this though.
    • You could download new games like Tetris to be later uploaded to your celfone. NOT.... Just teasing. How would it be possible?!
    • You could make Free Calls on your Handy Phone? FREE CALLS, YES!!! This tip needs Net Monitor enabled. Be aware that the trick wil remove Netmonitor in some s/w versions like v4.73 and v5.04.1 First Launch the NetMonitor in your Nokia 51xx / 61xx then execute test number 497 3 Free calling for about 90 sec should now have been activated. This trick may or may not work.
Adding new tones via Finland Center

    • Set SMSC (message central) to +358405202999 then send an SMS with the word "TONES". Send it to 99999. When you get the reply (this will be in a markup language). Go to edit the message so the tone you want is the only without an asterix (*) in front of it. Then send this message to 99999 again. This will then send a ringtone to you. If it works, it should says: NEW RINGTONE RECEIVED. Then you can play it, discard it or accept it as tone no.36
    • Download the ringtone you want then upload using Nokring or Nokia PC Composer (Data Suite required).
Ever travelled to another country and wanted to send text messages back home? Well now its possible. Simply replace your existing Message Center Numbers with any of the following Numbers and instantly be able to not only receive SMS but to also SEND OUT!
